Community Organization Highlight: Friends of Youth

Friends of Youth delivers a comprehensive range of supportive and therapeutic services for youth, young adults, and families from all backgrounds. With over 70 years of experience, 24 program sites in 18 cities, and national accreditation, they
provide welcoming, safe places and emotional support for youth in challenging circumstances and collectively strive to ensure youth face zero days of vulnerability.
Services include:

  • Healthy Start Parent Support: Home visiting for pregnant and/or parenting families with children younger than age six through evidence and strength-based services.
  • Mental Health and Substance Use Services: Services and support for individuals between the ages of 4 - 24 with outpatient individual, family, and group counseling as well as prevention and intervention services.
  • Youth Engagement Team: Provides case management, housing navigation, and counseling services to youth, ages 12 – 17, and their families, experiencing homelessness or at imminent risk of experiencing homelessness.
