Your Right to Language Access
You have the right to access state programs, benefits, and services in your own language, free of charge. You can receive interpretation services and have important documents translated into the language you use when communicating with DCYF, requesting state benefits or services, or attending a training or event.

Constituent Relations provides a fair and courteous process for resolving complaints relating to child protection and child welfare cases, foster home and child care licensing, child care programs, and juvenile rehabilitation services.

DCYF has many resources for families. You can access a few of them by calling the toll-free intake line. An operator can connect you to an interpreter who speaks your language.
Services include:
- Early intervention services for children ages 0 to 3.
- Statewide support, education, and leadership programs.
- Help finding safe and affordable child care.
- Home visiting, community outreach, and funding support.
- Referrals to local social services and assistance.
