Current and former youth between the age of 14 and 29 are eligible to apply for a cash grant through the non-profit Think of Us.
Youth can receive up to $1,000 in funds. Those funds will be distributed to the youth via western union, Venmo, cashapp, Zelle or any other form that works best for the youth. The funds can be used by the youth however they see fit. The deadline to apply is Nov. 18. Grants will be awarded by Dec. 1, 2020.
The only requirement for the one-time cash grant is that the youth must have spent at least one day in foster care after turning 14.
The grants are part of Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s $1 Billion response to the pandemic.
