The Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) is establishing a pilot project to determine the feasibility of a center or school-age child care license category for multi-site programs operating under one owner or entity.
Connecting youth to as many resources as possible and finding mentoring supports with lived experiences is critical to maintaining engagement with the developing minds of our residents in Juvenile Rehabilitation (JR). It also aligns with DCYF’s Strategic and Racial Equity Plan to create successful transitions to adulthood.
President Biden recently proclaimed October as National Youth Justice Action Month – a time to raise awareness, seek justice for our youth, and modernize the juvenile justice system.
