The Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) has been working with tribal partners to develop and launch an Initial License process for children in tribal jurisdiction.  

To better prepare young people to transition from a secure facility to a minimum-security facility, the Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) implemented a more thorough review process.

Award-winning rapper Macklemore surprised youth at Green Hill School last week by attending the watch party for the youth-produced anti-fentanyl campaign video, Dark Road.

DCYF has expanded the Language Access Services Team and team members have been hard at work drafting a Language Access Plan (LAP). The goal of the Plan is to promote equity and inclusion and offer language access services in a consistent manner across all DCYF divisions and offices.
