Washington State Aggression Replacement Training (ART)

Aggression Replacement Training (ART) is designed to help young people with aggression. The training also helps reduce anti-social behaviors. 
 

Aggression Replacement Training is:

  • Intensive and impactful.
  • Designed to promote prosocial skills.
  • Improves anger control.
  • Reduces acting out behaviors.

In the weekly sessions, young people get the tools to:

  • Solve problems.
  • Make decisions.
  • Have good social interactions.

The curriculum consists of three components: 

  • Social Skills Training (The behavior component)
  • Anger Control Training (The emotional component)
  • Moral Reasoning (The cognitive component)
