Information
Harbor Heights is located near Grays Harbor and can hold up to 48 young men. It is completely run by DCYF and young people at the facility remain in DCYF custody.
Our mission for Harbor Heights is to provide a safe, structured, and secure environment where young men can learn leadership skills and develop positive habits that can be used to make a positive impact when they return to Green Hill School.
Harbor Heights will host the Ascend Program.
About the Ascend Program
This rotational program will offer cognitive behavioral treatment for young people through peer-led groups that teach them the skills to facilitate similar groups at other facilities. Additional programming will be focused on independent living skills.

The facility can hold up to 48 young people in the F-South building on the grounds of the Stafford Creek Correctional Center. This facility will have a separate entrance, building, visitation, and recreational area.
Population
DCYF will select young men to participate in the Ascend Program at Harbor Heights based on the following criteria:
- Over the age of 18
- Has received a High School Diploma or GED
- Reached at least medium security
- Stable mental health, SUD disorder at or below outpatient levels
- Preference for young adults over the age of 21
Education and Vocational Programs
Post-secondary educational programming will be offered so young people can continue their education while participating in the rotational program.
New and innovative vocational programming will be available that uses the latest virtual reality technology to build skills in the automotive industry.
