Information

Harbor Heights is located near Grays Harbor and can hold up to 46 young men. It is completely run by DCYF and young people at the facility remain in DCYF custody.

Our mission for Harbor Heights is to provide a safe, structured, and secure environment where young men can learn leadership skills and develop positive habits that can be used to make a positive impact when they return to Green Hill School.

Harbor Heights will host the Ascend Program.

About the Ascend Program

This rotational program will offer cognitive behavioral treatment for young people through peer-led groups that teach them the skills to facilitate similar groups at other facilities. Additional programming will be focused on independent living skills.

Population

DCYF will select young men to participate in the Ascend Program at Harbor Heights based on the following criteria:

  • Over the age of 18
  • Reached at least medium security

Education and Vocational Programs

Post-secondary educational programming will be offered so young people can continue their education while participating in the rotational program.
