Community Housing Programs and Resources (DCYF Partners)

DCYF works with outside agencies to increase capacity and access to housing and housing resources. The following list of Washington state entities can offer additional help. 

  • Coordinated Entry 
  • Foundational Community Supports (FCS) resources (Funded by the Health Care Authority)
    FCS is a program offering benefits for supportive housing and supported employment for Apple Health-eligible beneficiaries ages 16+ with complex needs. Wellpoint will work with housing and employment providers to help enrollees find and maintain jobs; acquire stable, independent housing; and gain the necessary skills to be successful.   • Independent Youth Housing Program (IYHP) - Young Adults Ages 18-24(Funded by the Office of Homeless Youth (OHY))
    • Housing support for young adults who have experienced foster care at any age.
    • The length of time the person is supported varies by location but may be about 12-18 months.

  • Young Adult Housing Program (YAHP) - Young Adults Ages 18-24 (Funded by the Office of Homeless Youth)
    • Housing support for young adults who have experienced homelessness.

  • Transitional Living Program (TLP) - Youth ages 16 and 17 years old (Funded by the Office of Homeless Youth)
    • Long-term housing and case management support for non-state dependent youth who lack a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence. 
    • TLPs may be operated within licensed facilities and/or host homes.

  • Youth Homelessness Demonstration Project (YHDP) Rapid Rehousing

  • Lifeline
    The Lifeline program serves as a no-wrong-door access point for support and connection to services for youth and young adults in Washington who require assistance to overcome a life challenge that could escalate into a crisis if not addressed. They help meet immediate needs through resource navigation and the distribution of program funding for food, shelter, transportation, and more.
