In response to requests from communities, providers, and staff and with the support of recent legislation, DCYF is expanding access to fingerprinting services. Starting this week, DCYF will begin offering fingerprinting services in select rural offices to better serve caregivers and providers. 

One of the Department of Children, Youth, and Families’ (DCYF) strategic goals is to “create a high-quality integrated Birth-8 system.” 

DCYF celebrated the graduation of 23 young people at Echo Glen Children’s Center and Green Hill School last month from a job-readiness program.

We are excited to announce that DCYF's Office of Tribal Relations (OTR) is currently accepting session proposals. We are looking for sessions that will build on the knowledge and skills of those working with system-involved Native families.

DCYF has decided to pause the 2025 Community Child Care Conversations. Updates on in-person Conversations will be provided in late spring 2025 following the Legislative session.

A multi-sport athlete, choir member, and avid Seattle Mariners fan will be throwing the ceremonial first pitch during the April 27 Mariners game to celebrate Foster Care Month.
