DCYF will recognize fathers actively engaging with their children throughout the dependency process.
To be eligible for the award, the father:
- Must have a dependency case within the past 12 months
- Must live in Washington State
- Engaged with their children in the dependency process
Nominations must include:
- The father’s name
- Why they should be recognized
- Examples of the father demonstrating positive behavioral changes (ex: participating in the process)
Nominations for the 2025 Engaging Fathers Award are now closed and will reopen Spring 2026.
