WA Compass Provider Portal

The WA Compass Provider Portal is an online, tool used by the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) Licensing Division to help manage and share information with child care and early learning providers, including Family, Friends, and Neighbor (FFN) providers.

What can providers do in the Portal?

  • New providers can submit child care licensing applications online.
  • Licensed and certified providers can review and complete recent inspection reports.
  • Licensed and certified providers can look at their past licensing and inspection history.
  • FFN providers can update information about the care they provide.
  • Providers can apply for grants they qualify for.
  • Providers can submit requests for agency review that used to be done on paper.

How do providers get access?

  • Access is given by child care licensing or license-exempt staff. Each provider gets a unique username and password. They use their own login details to access the Portal for each facility or account they have permission for.
  • To log in, go to the WA Compass Provider Portal login page (users need a STARS ID# from MERIT before getting access to the system).

NOTE: If this is your first time logging in, please contact WA Compass Provider Portal Support for help. The “Forgot Your Password” link only works if you have logged in before.
