Reporting Abuse

If you suspect sexual abuse or sexual harassment of a youth in a Juvenile Rehabilitation facility, there are several ways of reporting:

  •  Contact the facility compliance manager or the statewide PREA Administrator (see the list)
  •  Contact Child Protective Services (CPS) (1-866-363-4276)

Please have any information or evidence readily available (e.g. alleged victim name, alleged perpetrator name, date/time of incident, location etc.). Your report will be documented and forwarded to CPS and law enforcement (depending on the type of allegation) for investigation, per JR policy.

Upon receipt of a report we will ensure the alleged victim is protected and, depending on the type of allegation, provided medical and/or mental health services including forensic exams and victim advocate support.  All reports are taken seriously and all reports are investigated.
