The National Weather Service informs of continued low temperatures and high confidence that snow/slush will refreeze tonight. Please be alert of changes in road conditions may impact tomorrow’s commute.
The Department of Children, Youth and Families offices will be open for usual hours. Use caution as roadways, paths and sidewalks may be slippery.
Please reference the Department of Children, Youth and Families Severe Inclement Weather-Natural Disaster Leave memo on the website under the Policy Tab. This outlines how to use leave when needed during inclement weather conditions. This outlines the use of up to one hour of administrative leave for staff to take care of their families and get to work safely.
Please note - the group coaching scheduled for some of our Extended Management Team will start on time tomorrow at 8:00 a.m. Staff who are participating, please give yourself plenty of time to safely arrive on time.
DCYF Operational Decision
- The Vancouver office is open effective Tuesday, February 5, 2019. All required steps have been completed for staff to return to the building.
