Green Hill Reaches 100% Compliance with Essential & Important Standards

Green Hill School recently reached 100% compliance with standards for health services in juvenile confinement facilities from the National Commission on Correction Health Care (NCCHC).

NCCHC audits DCYF’s Juvenile Rehabilitation (JR) facilities every three years. Their most recent audit of Green Hill occurred during the height of the pandemic, which resulted in roadblocks to connectivity and information sharing. When COVID-19 quelled a bit, and travel was safer for auditors, NCCHC afforded Green Hill the opportunity to have a follow-up audit onsite. During the visit, the auditors were beyond complimentary of the campus and the work of the health center and mental health team – especially during a pandemic.
