More than 5,300 child care providers have received nearly $309 million in grants. There’s still time to apply!
Through the Child Care Stabilization Grant, the Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) has distributed nearly $309 million to help providers stay open during the COVID-19 pandemic, care for children, and help ensure working families have access to high-quality child care.
“This support of the child care sector is vital to meeting the needs of children and families,” said Nicole Rose, DCYF Assistant Secretary of Early Learning. “Our goal is to build an integrated, high-quality birth through age 8 early learning system that is affordable and accessible for Washington families.”
The Child Care Stabilization Grant, supported by the American Rescue Plan Act, remains open to eligible child care and early learning providers through June 30, 2022. Payments for the one-time grant are processed once a month through June.
