DCYF Hosts Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) Collaborative Forums

Dynamic community development meeting with diverse group of individuals engaged in discussion around table

Community providers, nonprofits organizations, state and local governments, tribal partners, caregivers, and community members with a shared interest of supporting and strengthening families to prevent child welfare involvement are invited to attend a FFPSA Collaborative Forum this Sept. and Oct. 

  • Spokane, Sept. 18, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Tri-Cities, Sept. 19, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Vancouver, Sept. 24, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 
  • Arlington, Sept. 30, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Seattle, Oct. 3, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Tacoma, Oct. 4, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

These meetings will include:

  • An overview of FFPSA and recent federal policy updates 
  • Active participation and collaboration
  • Guiding the implementation of prevention services funded by FFPSA
  • An opportunity to provide feedback to help guide the new 5-Year, 2025-2029 Prevention Plan. The original plan was created in 2020 and will expire this year (2024). 

If you can’t attend the in-person event you can still learn about FFPSA and provide your feedback at a Statewide Virtual Town Hall.

  • Oct. 15, 6 to 7:30 p.m.
  • Oct. 17, 6 to 7:30 p.m.
