Through the Child Care Stabilization Grant, DCYF has distributed over $327 million to 5,883 providers helping them stay open during the COVID-19 pandemic to care for children and ensure working families have access to high-quality child care.
The Child Care Stabilization Grant, supported by the American Rescue Plan Act, will remain open to eligible child care and early learning providers through Sept. 30, 2022.
If you are a licensed and certified child care provider and have not applied, you can apply for the Child Care Stabilization Grant in the WA Compass Provider Portal. The application is open now and will close at 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 30, 2022.
If you are a license-exempt Family, Friend, and Neighbor (FFN) provider and have not applied, you can apply for the Child Care Stabilization Grant on the DCYF FFN Stabilization Grant Website. The application is open now and will close at 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 30, 2022.
Grant Eligibility
All licensed and certified child care providers in Washington State with an open license in good standing are eligible to apply for the Child Care Stabilization Grant. This includes licensed Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP) sites. Additionally, license-exempt Family, Friend, and Neighbor (FFN) providers may also apply.
