Oils and scents that are diffused throughout the air are not approved for use during child care hours. Despite being considered natural, the composition of scents and oils can induce reactions for individuals who may already have compromised or sensitive respiratory or immune systems. Essential oils can cause respiratory ailments, endocrine disruptions, and rashes if they come into contact with skin and are therefore prohibited.
