Renata began her career in child welfare in 2004 as a CPS investigator. Over the following 20 years she served in various roles and departments, including within the Licensing Division and most recently in Human Resources, as the Workplace Investigations Administrator. Renata briefly left DCYF to be Deputy Assistant Director of Customer Relations within Washington State Department of Licensing. As many who grew up and developed within child welfare, DCYF’s mission called her back to service when she accepted the position of regional administrator in Region 6.
Renata is the mother of two amazing kids, 26-year-old Damien and 10-year-old Isabella. Renata’s husband, Justin, is her biggest ally in this consequential journey as the regional administrator. As a family, Renata, Justin, and the kids enjoy family game nights, movies, and travel. In 2004, Renata earned her master’s degree in public affairs from Washington State University. Renata is very connected to her hometown of Vancouver Washington, where her family moved in 1992 after immigrating from Russia.
