Race/Ethnicity of Children and Youth in Out-of-Home Care

Since 2016, the proportion of White children and youth in out-of-home care has decreased by four percentage points, and the proportion of American Indian/Alaska Native children and youth has increased by five percentage points. The proportion of other racial/ethnic groups has not changed substantially over the past seven years.
