After nearly 2.5 years in foster care, Logan said yes to his forever family during a National Adoption Day celebration at Yakima County Superior Court.

During his adoption hearing, Logan had a huge cheering section made up of family friends, adoptive grandparents, teachers, Fostering Solutions staff, extended adoptive family, and DCYF staff who were all there to support him and his new family. The celebration included balloons, stuffed animals, cookies, and a pizza party after the hearing.

“Thank you to everyone who worked with him and so many other children,” said Adoptions Social Service Specialist Luis Ochoa. “All of the hard work and time you put in to help Logan made a great difference.”

During his time in foster care, Logan experienced uncertainty and instability. Thanks to his foster parents (now adoptive family), DCYF staff says he has come a long way. He is now happy and hopeful for the future. He enjoys playing soccer and basketball and has great relationships with his adoptive parents and three siblings.

“Logan is a perfect fit for our family, and we are blessed that he accepted us permanently,” his parents said.
