Early Achievers Review Subcommittee (EARS)

The Early Achievers Review Subcommittee was created in 2015 to provide feedback and guidance on the development and implementation of Early Achievers. Its objectives include:

  • Advising DCYF on substantial Early Achievers policy changes and implementation of Early Start Act mandates
  • Contributing to the Early Start Act Annual Report
  • Providing perspectives from diverse regions and experiences within early learning across Washington
  • Identifying the impact of Early Achievers policies on communities across the state with special considerations for culturally and linguistically diverse communities
  • Engaging stakeholders

The subcommittee has made a commitment to racial equity and considers cultural and linguistic responsiveness as key aspects of their work.
